I really wanted to make it to 15,000 this weekend, but I guess I'll settle for the 1/4 mark. I got through a sticky scene I had started into before i realized what I was doing, a long flashback that conveniently illustrates some limitations on my main character.
Today was a long day of shopping, laundry and chores followed by two new episodes of Avatar I wasn't expecting but pleasantly surprised. I spent two hours combing the Market for specials and came home with several cuts of lamb for further experiments in hypo-allergenic foods. With Demonoid down I couldn't get my weekly comic book fix, and I am not sure if there will be a decent replacement any time soon. I find sometimes comics help with quick bursts of inspiration, their nature dictating a faster pace of story than the traditional novel.

Thursdays are my Monday, and double-hell of having to be up two hours earlier than usual. I shouldn't be up this late but I wanted to reward myself for hitting the 1/4 mark by watching an episode of Ghost Hound.

This show is all kinds of spooky cool, and it comes from people involved in the creation of that other favorite, Serial Experiments Lain. So go find this show, three episodes are out now if you know where to look (like in my links section).

Now, I look forward to a night in brand new, freshly washed sheets and all-clean bedding. Clean sleep is the best sleep!

I love the imagery, but I think the narration is a tad overdone. Well, it is a trailer, and american movie trailers often suffer the same shortcomings.

I know dozens of people are going to post Firefly. I love this anime just a bit more than I do that series.

Okay, I found this on apple.com/trailers. I'm wondering why I haven't seen anything about it in the fansub community.

It looks visually spectacular, with los of very surreal transformations. The synopsis talks about a dream-exploring therapist, which is where those images must come into play. Paprika comes from Satoshi Kon, the creator of Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent, so this film has quite a pedigree to back up such a stunning trailer. Beyond these, I can't think of any other reasons I would need to go see this film--even if I find a p1r4t3d copy first.

Strike Witches Trailer

Magical Girl Dogfights! Technomagical animal ears! Pre-teen girls with giant guns! The bi-plane buzz overdub is hilarious, but the actual air combat is sweet. I don't think that's enough reason to actually watch this, as the prelude animation is 15 minutes of shoujo and 2 minutes of fantastic fighting.
